In need of a join

I get regular requests to make a video showing the Twist-and-Weave color change technique, and this month I finally got round to it. There are two versions: one for knitters who hold the yarn in their right hand, and another for those who hold the yarn in their left hand.

It got me thinking about how I keep coming across different methods of joining yarn in knitting, and each time I wonder how many more can possibly be out there. And maybe I'm missing out on the perfect method just because I haven't looked for it?

So I've trawled the knitternet, tried all the methods I found and assembled them into a Compendium of Yarn Joins. You can apply filters ("Suitable for a color change", "Without knots" etc) and I've added some notes on when you might use each method.
